Business Continuity Statement

Citadel Securities LLC and Citadel Securities Institutional LLC (collectively, “Citadel Securities”) have established a Business Continuity Plan (“BCP”).  The BCP describes how Citadel Securities will respond to events that significantly disrupt its business.  Since the timing and impact of disasters and disruptions is unpredictable, Citadel Securities must be flexible in responding to actual events as they occur.  Accordingly, the BCP, and this disclosure describing the BCP, are subject to modification.

Business Continuity Plan:  Citadel Securities seeks to respond to any signification business disruption (“SBD”) and to quickly resume operations by safeguarding employees’ lives and firm property, making a financial and operational assessment, quickly recovering and resuming operations, protecting Citadel Securities’ books and records, and allowing customers to transact business. Accordingly, the BCP addresses the following: data backup and recovery; all the systems critical to the operation of Citadel Securities’ business; financial and operational assessments; alternative communications with customers, employees, and regulators; alternate physical location of employees; critical supplier, contractor, bank and counter-party impact; and regulatory reporting.

Varying Disruptions:  SBDs can vary in their scope, impacting either the business district, city, or geographic region where Citadel Securities has its offices.  Within each of these areas, the severity of the disruption can also vary from minimal to severe.  Citadel Securities has multiple recovery strategies, including alternate physical workspaces, work transfer arrangements and remote working arrangements.  In the event of a SBD impacting Citadel Securities’ locations, Citadel Securities will resume critical operations as soon as possible, depending on the extent of the SBD, in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Contact:  In the event that Citadel Securities cannot be contacted at its main office number, 305-929-6851, during a SBD, clients may contact our New York office at 646-403-8200.
