- What We Do
We are proud to respond to the needs of our global communities in times of crisis. Throughout the war in Ukraine, Citadel and Citadel Securities have worked to support civilians by providing humanitarian aid and stepping in to sponsor the Ukrainian Informatics, Physics, and Astronomy Olympiad teams to enable them to compete globally and to support the next generation of exceptional Ukrainian STEM talent.
Our sponsorship has enabled the teams to compete across Europe and on the world stage, including the International Olympiads in Informatics in Hungary in 2023 and in Indonesia in 2022. In the recent European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics held in Sweden, the Ukrainian team, with support from Citadel and Citadel Securities, secured first place in with two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
Our support of these students comes at a critical time in their educational journeys. Success in international and regional Olympiads provides a pathway for students to continue their education at top universities around the world, and prepares them for competitive roles in finance, technology, and related fields. Citadel and Citadel Securities are proud to contribute to the success of these talented and dedicated students and to their ongoing STEM education.
